Check-in at Elisabeth Apartments is fully digital and contactless. Please follow the procedure corresponding to your booked category:
1. Apartments with digital code locks
No physical key is required for these apartments. On your day of arrival, around 2:00 PM, you will automatically receive an email with the link for the online check-in.
Complete the digital registration form conveniently on your smartphone.
Once completed, you will receive your personal access code via email or directly on the check-in tablet in the welcome area at Steinweg 45.
This code gives you direct access to both the main entrance and your room door from 3:00 PM onwards.
2. Apartments with physical keys
If your apartment requires a traditional key (please check your booking confirmation), you must collect it from the welcome area at Steinweg 45 after completing the digital check-in.
Our team is available there personally every day from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Please plan your arrival so that you can collect your key by 6:00 PM.
If you expect to arrive later, it is essential to contact us early at +49 6421 1830544 to receive a code for our key box.
Important check-in timeframes:
We strongly recommend completing the digital check-in by 5:30 PM at the latest. This ensures our team can assist you personally or by phone until our support hours end at 6:00 PM. Once you have successfully completed the online check-in, you can access your apartment (via code) at any time.
Please note: The PIN code from Booking.com is not an access code for our doors. Please only use the booking number for Elisabeth Apartments, which you will receive from us after checking in online.
Apartments with physical keys:
If you have booked an apartment with a physical key (please refer to your booking confirmation), you must collect your key from the welcome area at Steinweg 45 after completing the digital check-in. Our personal support team is available there daily from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please plan your arrival so that you can collect your key in person by 6:00 PM. If you expect to arrive later, please contact us early at +49 6421 1830544 to receive a code for our key box.
Apartments with digital code locks:
For apartments with a digital lock, no physical key is required. On your day of arrival, you will automatically receive an email starting around 2:00 PM with the link for the online check-in. After completing the digital registration form, your personal access code will be generated and sent to you via email or displayed on the check-in tablet in the welcome area.
Important notes on digital check-in:
Timeframe: Please complete the digital check-in by 5:30 PM at the latest. This allows our team to provide personal or telephone support until 6:00 PM if you have any technical questions.
Late Arrival: Once you have successfully completed the check-in and received your code, arriving after 6:00 PM is easily possible (technically available until 11:00 PM).
Code Usage: Your access code consists of a long “Start Code” (only for the first activation at your room door) and a short “Comfort Code” for ongoing use. The Comfort Code is always valid for the main entrance.
Security: Please always confirm your code entry on the lock with the checkmark button. After multiple incorrect entries, the lock will disable for one minute for security reasons.
Note: The PIN code provided by Booking.com is not an access code for our doors.

Soap and shower gel/shampoo are available free of charge.
We have a limited number of paid parking spaces located approximately 150 to 300 meters from the main building. Parking is available for €15 per night.

Important information regarding vehicle dimensions:
Unfortunately, vehicles exceeding 5 meters in length or 2.05 meters in height cannot be accommodated in our parking spaces. If your vehicle is larger, please contact us via email in advance so we can assist you with alternative options.
Yes. Our guests are welcome to park their cars in the “Oberstadt” parking house. It is located 200 meters away at Pilgrimstein 17, 35037 Marburg.
The parking fee is around 15 € per day.
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets.
The university town of Marburg charges a tourism tax of €2 per person per night.
This applies to all overnight guests aged 18 and over and is charged in addition to the accommodation price.
The tax is used by the town to promote tourism and is collected separately on site.

If you want to change the number of guests in the room, it must be announced in advance. An extra person costs 20 € per night. Please note that changing the number of guests is not possible for every room.
With a flexible rate, cancellation free of charge is possible up to 14 days before arrival. From 14 days before arrival, 80% of the total price must be paid as a cancellation fee.
In this case you chose our cheapest rate, when you made the reservation. If you have a non-refundable rate, you can cancel your booking, but the amount you paid in advance will not be refunded. It will be charged 100% as a cancellation fee. Unfortunately, illnesses or other circumstances will not be accepted as a reason for canceling the trip free of charge. We recommend to make a travel cancellation insurance for these cases.
Unfortunately not. You are welcome to pay with an EC-card, Giro-card, VISA, Mastercard, Maestro or by bank transfer (before arrival). We currently offer only a credit card payment during online check-in.
You have the option to correct or feed in your billing address during online check-in. You will receive your invoice by email after check-out. Please use your correct email address during check-in to receive the access code for your room and the invoice for the stay.
After checking out, you will receive your invoice by email to the email address you provided. Please make sure that you have provided a correct email address and the correct billing address by checking in.
All our apartments feature complimentary Wi-Fi access. For your convenience, the login details are available on the desk in your room, in the welcome area, and anytime via our digital Guest folder.
As our main building is a historic property with a centuries-old heritage, it preserves its original character – which also means there is no elevator available. We appreciate your understanding as we protect the historical integrity of our building in this way.
A final cleaning after departure is included and free of charge by the bookings up to 29 nights. We take care of the final cleaning, but kindly ask for your assistance: please remove bed linens and place them on the bed; wash, dry and put away the dishes, empty the refrigerator and leave the apartment broom-clean.
If someone has smoked in the room or if the level of dirtying goes beyond normal use, we get the right to charge you for the extra cleaning.
For a longer stay of 30 nights or more, a monthly and a final cleaning are not included (unless there is other agreement), but can be ordered for a fee. To arrange an appointment for monthly or final cleaning, please contact our reception by phone, E-Mail or our digital guest system. Our long-term apartments also have vacuum cleaners and cleaning utensils, so you can do your own cleaning at any time.
As we do not operate as a hotel but offer vacation rentals and apartments, we do not provide daily cleaning or towel changes. This allows us to offer our spacious accommodations at an attractive rate.

For your stay we offer you a selection of household utensils in our pantry for self-service. It is located in the main building on the first floor in front of guest room Nr.3.
Please help yourself as needed and remember to put all utensils back in their proper place after use.

Elisabeth Apartments are strictly non-smoking accommodations. Please note that smoking (including e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited in all apartments, rooms, stairwells, and on balconies.
A violation of this policy may result in the immediate termination of the accommodation contract. Furthermore, we reserve the right to charge guests for the full cost of any necessary specialized deep cleaning due to nicotine odor (minimum €250), as well as any costs incurred if the fire alarm system is triggered as a result of a violation.

On the ground floor of our main building, you will find Café Elisabeth, operated by our partner Mesut Delipalta and his team. They generally offer breakfast daily from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Please note that the café is independently managed and is not a direct service of Elisabeth Apartments. Therefore, breakfast is paid for directly at the café. As opening hours may vary, please check with the café staff for the most current times.
To reserve a table, you can contact the café directly by phone at +49 6421 6143698.
For your check-out, we kindly ask you to use our digital guest system on the day of your departure. Check-out should be completed by 10:00 AM at the latest. You will automatically receive an email that morning containing a direct link to complete the check-out conveniently on your smartphone – following the same process as the check-in.
Alternatively, the tablet in the welcome area is available for your check-out. Simply log in there using your booking code and your last name.
Key Return:
If you received a physical key, please return it in person to the welcome area or simply drop it into our key box labeled ‘Schlüsselrückgabe’. You will find this box in the entrance area of the main building (Steinweg 45) on the left wall before the stairs.
Please take good care of your room key. If a physical key is lost or not returned upon departure, a fee of €50 will be charged to cover the necessary lock replacement and the production of new keys.
In general, we kindly ask you to vacate your apartment by 10:00 AM so that our cleaning team can prepare it on time for the next guests.
If you would like to request a later check-out, please contact our team no later than the day before your departure during support hours via email or phone.
Availability: A late check-out until 12:30 PM is possible upon request and subject to availability for an additional fee of €20.
Important Note: A late check-out technically requires a new access code. Please note that your original code expires at exactly 10:00 AM, and you will not be able to re-enter your room without the new code.
You are welcome to store your luggage at our office from Monday through Friday, provided you make prior arrangements. Please coordinate with our team well in advance to ensure that our office is staffed during your desired drop-off and pickup times.
We also have lockers available in the reception area for the secure storage of smaller items. Please note:
of losing a locker key, a fee of €50 will be charged, as the lock must be replaced in this case.
